Their vibrations disturb the atmosphere. Rajas and tamas surround the atmosphere. This is the reason why flowers must not be plucked at this time. Dried up or withered flowers are strictly prohibited for worship..

Don't keep dried flowers in a flower arrangement even at home. Only Bilva patra can be used for worship three times, but beyond this period, they wither out. When you want to offer bilva patra to Lord Shiva in Shiva puja, you can use the bilva leaves that were once used again if you do not get the bilva leaves.

However, keep in mind that this leaf can only be recycled for three days. You can use lotus for 5 days as the lotus remain fresh for 5 days.

Without taking bath, you must not pluck flowers for worship. Don't wear slippers while plucking the flowers. Express your gratitude when you have plucked flowers from the plant.
