Hanuman Jayanti 2023: Five Faces Of Panchamukhi Hanuman
During the Rama Ravana war, Hanuman played a key role in vanquishing the Ravana sena and helping Rama win. At a particular stage of the war, he had to assume a form with five faces, called Panchamukhi hanuman in order to kill Ahiravana. Ahiravana was not only a demon but a very capable sorcerer.

He had a weapon called Nagapasha which was capable of injecting poison secretly into human blood. Ahiravana whisked Rama and Lakshmana away into patala as his captives when they were fast asleep in the night.
Now the only way to kill ahiravana was to put out the lights in five directions at the same time. So to achieve this feat, Hanuman assumed five faces which put out the lights at the same time. Ahiravana died on the spot and then Hanuman freed Rama and Lakshmana from the situation. Panchamukhi Hanuman form is the most powerful of all forms of Hanuman and it shields you from evil forces and destroys your phobias and fears and removes vastu problems.

Panchamukha represent the five types of bhakti, which are known as Naman (bow to god) Smaran (think of god), Keerthanam (Sing God's glories), padasevanam (Worshipping the feet of God), and Arpanam ( Surrender).
Hanuman had all those qualities that make a seeker an ultimate bhakta. Each of his faces represent those divine qualities of bhakti. Devotees who worship Panchamukhi Hanuman are freed from fear. They will have a heightened sense of self confidence and find all their stresses eliminated from the roots. Sit in front of a picture and recite Chalisa, or Hanuman Bahuk, or Bajrang Baan after lighting a diya.
