Bahuk is one of the most significant stotras composed by Sri Goswami Tulsidas in Awadhi language.. Although relatively lesser known amongst people, due to reasons unknown, Hanuman Bahuk is a very potent stotra with 44 verses, that bestows good health, protects you from obstacles and gets you overall blessings from Hanuman. It is a miracle stotra which confers happiness and peace. About 40 days of chanting this is sure to remove various diseases.

A miraculous incident in the life of Tulsidas inspired him to write the Bahuk stotra.. Once he had a tremendous shoulder ache which he found impossible to bear. So he wrote a prayer to cure himself of it. Hanuman promptly responded to his prayers and saved him from the pain.

How To Recite

There are two ways Bahuk can be recited routinely. One way is to include it in normal every day prayers. The other is to observe it for 40 days along with some rituals daily. On all forty days, the devotee should not smoke, drink, eat non vegetarian food, gossip, or talk unnecessarily. Hanuman bahuk can be recited for 21. 40, 108 days or if your prefer, even for a lifetime. Start Bahuk path from Tuesday. There is no time restriction for reciting this stotra. At any time during the day it can be chanted. Tuesdays and Saturdays are very powerful days that grant the utmost benefits of chanting Bahuk. If it is accompanied with Chalisa, it is all the more better.

Worshipping Specific Forms Of Hanuman

Worshipping specific forms of Hanuman confers specific results. If you desire peace, worhip Hanuman in the meditative posture. If you want to get rid of some chronic disease, worship the photo of Hanuman lifting the mountain. Hanuman Photo should always be place in the right direction in the puja mandir. Avoid placing photos in which Hanuman has a ripped open chest and burning Lanka.

According to Vastu Shastra, the picture of Hanuman ji should always be placed in the right direction and these two photos are strictly prohibited for use at homes. Always use a photo of Hanuman with blessing posture at home.

Method Of Recitation

1. Keep photos of Ganesha, Shri Ram. And Hanuman idol displaying abhaya mudra.
2. Keep ready a copper pot, lamp, and red cloth for Puja.
3. After you complete your morning bath, bathe the above idols in Ganges water
4. Now place them on the red cloth.
5. Apply Tilak to them.
6. Offer flowers.
7. Light a diya, pour water and a few basil leaves into the copper pot.
Meditate on all Three gods firstly by dhooparati, and then make a resolution after deciding how many days you will follow this vrata.
8. Then recite your wish or the name of the person for whom you want to do this vrata.
9. Light a pure ghee diya and see that it burns as long as the session lasts.
10. After this, firstly worship Ganesh, then Shri Rama and then lastly recite Hanuman Bahuk after Offering him abeer, gulal and red flowers .
11. After it concludes. thank all the gods, pray for the fulfilment of your wishes, apply the tirth on the affected part and drink It along with basil.
