Follow These Rules While Chanting Vedic Mantras

Mantras are always effective at all times if care is taken to pronounce them correctly and with focus and devotion. Mani Mantra Oushadhis as per scriptures, always have an effect on the worshipper.

Pujas are not complete without mantras. You have mantras for everything, right from planets to the Holy Trinity. Kamya mantras help you to get the materialistic benefits whereas the other mantras uplift you spiritually.

Other than pronunciation we do several other mistakes while chanting as well. Here they are.
Chant Only During The Day: Morning and evening are two best slots of time that are perfectly suited for chanting mantras.

They say that during day time. The sattvic shaktis or powers will be prevailing throughout. Once it darkens and dusk sets in, it is the time of Rakshasas and goblins which will not allow any stotra or mantra to give results.

Night time no stotra should be recited. Only tantric mantras or vamachara mantras are recited at night. Vamachara is all about witchcraft pujas that employ rakshasas and kshudra devas and devis to get what they want. Durga is chiefly worshipped in tantric practices. All this happens in the night.

Select The Rosary With Care: There is a particular bead rosary specified for every mantra and the deity that governs the mantra. Only that rosary gives you complete results. Make sure you choose the right rosary; if in doubt, ask pandits nearby.

Choose A Specified Time: You should chant the mantra every day at the same time. Do not change the slot. Your mind, by chanting at the same slot, gains a control and mastery over the mantras gradually. If you keep changing the slot the mind would not be able to concentrate that effectively.

It is like studying every day at the same slot so you're your mind gets activated when that time comes and studying will be made easy. Chant the mantra at the time you chalk out for it every single day. This method is mentioned in yogic granths.

Method Of Chanting: Cover the rosary with cloth while chanting it or chant with the rosary in the wee hours when no one is watching. It is very important to keep the rosary covered during the chant..

Cover your head also with a cloth while chanting so that no one will be able to see you while you chant. By using thumb and middle finger, rotate the rosary and continue with the chant.

Do Not Change The Meditation Spot: Do not also change the place where you chant. The mind gets accustomed to certain time and place that you allot and works well towards the goal.

When you are changing the place again and again, the mantra does not get registered in your subconscious and fails to deliver the results.

The Puja Aasan: It is best to sit on a low wooden chowki, a cotton seat or mat to chant the mantra. Do not sit on bamboo aasan or sofa or plastic chairs to chant your mantras.

The right aasan will convey your prayers effectively and uplift you spiritually by improving your meditation every day, and ultimately helps you to reach God.
