Chaitra Navratrti 2023: Day-Wise Full List Of Navratri Bhog For Nine Days

This year, Chaitra Navratri will begin on 22 March 2023 and continue till 30 March 2023. This also marks the Hindu Vikram Samrat 2080. These days are dedicated to Goddess Durga and her different forms are worshipped with full devotion. Day 1 - What food should be offered to Goddess Shailputri?

This is the first day of Navratri and it is dedicated to Maa Shailputri. According to a belief, Goddess Shailputri is said to be the daughter of Himalaya and her favourite colour is white. On the first day, cow's ghee or milk is used to please the Goddess. This is either directly offered to the Goddess or sweets made from and kept in front of the deity. This brings health with the blessings of your mother. Devotees believe that the Pomegranate fruit is the favourite of the goddess.

Day 2 - What food should be offered to Goddess Brahmacharini?

Goddess Brahmacharini's day is on the second day of Navratri. On this day, sugar or mishri, panchamrit or white sweets are offered to the deity. Worshipping Goddess Brahmacharini on this day is said to provide longevity. Apple is included in the bhog of Goddess Brahmacharini.

Day 3 - What food should be offered to Goddess Chandraghata?

The third day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Chandraghata and by worshipping her one gets freedom from worldly sufferings. On this day, offer sweets and kheer made of milk and khoya to the mother. Goddess' favourite fruit is banana and apple, you can include them in the bhog.

Day 4 - What food should be offered to Goddess Kushmanda?

This day is dedicated to Goddess Kushmanda. Malpua, a sweet is offered to the Goddess on this day. Along with this, she likes pear, a fruit which can be included in her bhog. On this day bhog should be distributed among all the members of the family members. The goddess blesses her devotees with intelligence.

Day 5 - What food should be offered to Goddess Skandamata?

Goddess Skandamata is worshipped on the fifth day of Navratri. A Banana fruit is offered to the Goddess on this day. Banana dishes can also be prepared and offered as bhog. Through this enjoyment and worship of the goddess, one gets freedom from physical diseases and success in career is achieved.

Day 6 - What food should be offered to Goddess Katyayani?

The sixth day is dedicated to Goddess Katyayani. She is considered the goddess of Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha. On this day mother is offered gourd, sweet betel leaf, honey or guava. Worshipping this deity on this day removes the negativity from the house.

Day 7 - What food should be offered to Goddess Kalratri?

Goddess Kalaratri is worshipped on the seventh day. Goddess Kalaratri is considered to be the destroyer of enemies. On this day, the deity should be offered food made of jaggery and dry fruits. Goddess removes the sufferings of the devotees on this day.

Day 8 - What food should be offered to Goddess Mahagauri?

Goddess Mahagauri is worshipped on the eighth day of Navratri. On this day mother is offered coconut or dishes made of coconut. Worshiping and offering food to the goddess increases happiness, prosperity and wealth in the house.

Day 9 - What food should be offered to Goddess Siddhidatri?

The last and ninth day of Navratri is dedicated to Goddess Siddhidatri. On this day mother is offered pudding and gram. This bhog should be fed to the girls after worshipping them. According to belief, by offering sesame seeds on this day, the fear of untowardness ends.
