The Ghat Sthapana, also known as Kalash Sthapana, will be performed on 22 March. The muhurat will last from 6:23 am to 7:32 am.
Hindu New Year and Navratri
It is believed that Goddess Durga, the goddess of power, was born on the first day of Navratri. There is also a belief that Lord Brahma created the universe only at the behest of Durga, hence the first day of Chaitra Navratri is considered to be the beginning of the Hindu New Year.
Belief behind celebrating Chaitra Navratri
It is believed that the Earth and the Sun are in a special position at this time, which increases the possibility of diseases affecting the human body, so it becomes necessary to keep the body clean and gravitate towards high energy. Apart from this, the Sun will transit in Aries which has an effect on every living entity. There is a belief that a special type of energy flows from nature, to achieve which the grace of Goddess Durga is taken, so the nine powers of the Goddess are worshipped on different days.
