Spiritual Significance Of Lighting The Desi Ghee Diya

A ghee Diya attracts sattva elements and vibrations in the atmosphere. It absorbs positivity from the surroundings and rids the home of negative energies. According to scriptures, a desi ghee lamp can attract the aura of Kubera and bless you with luxury and power. The Diwali and Karthik festivals are essentially festivals of light that stand for victory of the good over the evil. Similarly lighting a ghee Diya everyday works on the same principle. It helps all your good intentions win and wipes out the bad thoughts and impulses out of your system.. It also bestows you victory whenever you are on the right path. Essentially a symbol of hope and light, the ghee Diya invites health, wealth and prosperity to your house.
Since the goodness of burnt ghee pervades the atmosphere, it also prevents airborne diseases. Cow is the most worshipped and divine animal with a divine presence of all devas inside it and hence it is treated as Go Mata or cow mother. All cow products are held sacred and used extensively for puja and homa purposes as well used at home for nourishment and health. Ghee prepared from a cow that feeds on grass is ideal for use.
Oil And Ghee Diya
The ghee Diya is more sattvic than the oil Diya although oil Diya is more popularly used. In general, oil is more widely used than Ghee as oil has a longer lifespan, when compared to the ghee Diya. But ghee Diya has several spiritual connotations to it.
Agni Puran states that the oil Diya can radiate the sattvic vibrations into the air up to one metre distance. But the ghee Diya can send it all the way up to heavens. The oil Diya emits rajasic particles for half an hour whereas elements emitted out of the Ghee Diya last for four hours after using the Ghee Lamp.
In India, we we use oil ghee and several others to light Diya, but there is nothing to beat the divinity of the mix of burning ghee and the air that carries its waft. Ghee Diyas have their own beneficial impact on the mind and home. Grass-fed cow's ghee is among the holiest and best ghee for lighting lamps and consuming in daily life. The ghee that you buy in the shop must not contain preservatives or additional flavours. It will be corrupted for use then.
Spiritual Experiences
Ghee Diya provides us the spiritual experience that is beyond our 5 senses.. Worldly experience is when we understand the world through our senses. But when we experience something beyond our senses it becomes a spiritual experience. The oil lamp gives us the spiritual experience of Pruthvi tattva (absolute earth element) and Aap tattva (absolute water element), no doubt. . The ghee lamp gives spiritual experience of Tej tatva and Vayu tattva to the worshipper.
Generally, any oil lamp emits rajasic frequencies but the sesame oil emits more sattva frequencies than an ordinary oil Diya. However, the sattvik frequencies emitted by the ghee lamp is at the maximum. Cow's ghee already has the deityin it. 's principles. The second-best alternative to ghee is mustard oil.
