Chanakya Niti Explains How Too Much Is Too Bad

Acharya Chanakya's policies are considered highly progressive and beyond the limits and scope of understanding of an era that it was written in. There are several examples in the present society who have benefitted by the precepts and examples that Chanakya set for the society. Knowledge occupies the paramount place in a human being's existence.
Knowledge is power and that is what lends meaning to the limited human lifespan. Chanakya was the best scholar who had the gift of intellectual excellence along with the knowledge of life, which he had seen at close quarters. He was the best mix of pragmatism and ethical theories that synchronized very well in purpose and intentions.
There are many who read Chanakya Niti as if it were a religious scripture and fairly so, because it is leading them to success that they have so wanted.Acharya Chanakya had a simple definition for every complicated context. He also explained what exactly leads to ones downfall. He has also explained how excess of everything leads to ruin." People who have something in excess, cross the limits of human perfection and hence become misfits in the earthly scheme of things and hence suffer. It is also told that people who have something in excess, including an exceeding interest in something, die because of it.
The Predicament Of Sita, Ravana, And Bali
A fine example of this would be the unmatched beauty of Sita. Her excessive beauty provoked Ravana to unlawful ideas and he whisked her away one fine day. It took a fierce battle fought for days on end, that had to bring Sita back to Lord Ram. Now speaking about Ravana, he was the proudest and most egoistic person in the world. That quality made him close his eyes to the gory consequences of facing Ram in the battle and his destruction.
Bali, the king of Patala, had to be actually sent there because of his excess generosity. Vamana took advantage of Balis excessive generosity and crushed him underground to Patala by taking measured steps over his head. Have you heard of the expression "Being generous to a fault"? Bali is the finest example for this.
How Excess Of Everything Ruins You
Excess of anything evokes unethical responses and unnecessary attention from people and hence it ends in misery and destruction, Since Sita was very beautiful, Ravana could not stop lusting about her until his death. Her immaculate beauty was the reason why Lanka was plundered and defaced due to the war. Ravanas excessive pride that made him feel that he would win over Ram any day led to his downfall. Excess of anger is bad and it does not let you succeed.
When you bad mouth someone, you create an enemy on the spot who will work against your interests for a lifetime. Students who study all the time and do not engage with the worldly happening remain uninformed and ill-equipped to face the world..Whatever you do, follow the golden middle path and nothing should be carried to the point of excess.
