Bel Patra In Shiva Worship: Usage, Shabar Mantra, Vaastu Remedies, And Significance

Of Bel Patra, Mahashivratri is one of the most important celebrations where people find joy engaging in pujas, chants the entire night of Mahashivratri this time, on 18 February 2023.. This is known to be the most powerful day where divine energy is all over the place and is experienced by the devout through the practices of chant and worship etc. This day is significant for three things; this was the day, when Lord Shiva entered into a mountain like stillness and went into deep penance. This was the day he married Parvati, and this was the day he danced the Shiv Tandava,
Bel Patra is Lord Mahadev or Lord Shiva's favourite puja ingredient After the Rudraksha bead, the Bel Patra occupies the next position of importance in the worship of Lord Shiva. Bel Patra is known for the presence of Holy Trinity in it. It was the droplets of Goddess Parvati falling on the mountains that created this tree. Presence of Goddess Parvati is distributed in different parts of the Bel tree. Goddess Parvati resides as Girija in the roots, as Maheshwari in the trunk, as Dakshayani in their branches, as Parvati in leaves, as Katyayani in its fruits and as Gauri in its flowers. So, the entire tree contains her in all her forms. Jains consider bel Patra auspicious as their 23rd tirthankara obtained nirvana through penance under this tree.

Significance
In the Hindu religion, the bel tree is considered as being particularly sacred and holy. Most of Bel leaves have three leaflets in each of them and that is why they are called Trifoliate leaves. They are symbolic of Lord Shiva's three eyes, the holy trinity, and three annals of time, that is past present and future. As per Shiva Purana, Bel leaf is one of those holy puja ingredients used in the worship of Lord Shiva.
Bel Patra, with cooling properties is the best offering for Shivling as it calms down the fire element of Shiva present in the Shivling.. Bel Patra, as per scriptures, was formed from the sweat droplets of Goddess Parvati whose presence is found in different parts of the Bel tree. Goddess Parvati and Goddess Lakshmi are known to reside in various forms in various parts of this tree.
The mere darshan of the five leaves Bel Patra is known to remove the sins of past so many lifetimes as it carries the blessings of the entire trinity. Even if you touch it, it instantly frees you from all negativities, and sins. Bel infuses health, good luck, and it invites prosperity into your home if placed on the window sill in your living room or dining hall. Keeping the Bel leaves inside your puja mandir is equal to worshipping Lord Shiva with Bel leaves.

Vastu Remedies
Bel Patra dispels evil energies and infuses positive vibes into the atmosphere. When you are trying to learn a new subject, light a diya under the Bel tree to accelerate your learning. Effects of a defective moon and evil eyes can be eliminated if a Bel tree is planted at home. If it is placed in the centre of the house, it brings on domestic concord. It gets you Goddess Lakshmi's blessings if planted in North South direction.
