Is Lord Hanuman Immortal?
It is said that when Lord Rama won the Ramayana war, the time to depart back to Vaikuntha arrived. Rama's entourage, including Sugriva, decided to depart with Him. However, Hanuman requested Lord Rama to stay back on earth till Rama's name is venerated by devotees. So, it is believed that Lord Hanuman is immortal and omnipresent. That is why devotees say that calling out the name of Hanuman or Lord Rama with true devotion and feelings can work and Lord Hanuman will visit you soon.

However, there are also some stories that built up in 1999 where a group of people saw a sighting of someone who looked like the Monkey God, Hanuman. The story goes like this. A group of people went to Manas-sarovar for a pilgrimage and while exploring the caves, a few people came across someone who looked like Hanuman.
