Mahalakshmi Yagna To Cow Down Recession

The trading community in Jodhpur is performing Mahalakshmi Yagna, a fire ritual honouring Goddess Lakshmi, the diety that showers wealth, to wash out global recession.
The nine-day ritual that took of on 13th March is to last till the 21 March. It is being held amidst thronging devotees with religious fervour in the Central Grounds with 400 priests engaged in performing the rituals associated with the 'Homa' or fire sacrifice amidst Vedic chants resounding in the entire neighbourhood.
The head priest Prakharji Maharaj probes into more subtler aspects of the results of the Yagna that it would release latent energies of intellectuals that empowers them to handle the situation diligently and work towards solving the crisis.
In the words of 'Prakharji Maharaj, "In the current scenario, there are no means to solve this problem. In this scenario, a Yagna was organised so that the brain's latent energies are awakened as a result of which many doors will open up to solve this crisis of recession"
Along with the trading community, people from all walks of life are participating the ritual.
The ritual has also drawn a lot of trader devotees from other different parts of the country.
Jyoti Maniyal from Ahmedabad said "Mahalakshmi Yagna which is being organised for the first time in 25-30 years is considered to be very lucky for the trade and industry, particularly at this is the time of global recession that is why I'm here"
