Eid-ul-Adha is a celebratory moment for people belonging to the Muslim community. It is on this auspicious day that they cheer in the name of Allah. This day is also known as Bakr Eid or Bakrid in India and it is observed during the 'Dhu al-Hijjah', the twelfth and final month in the Islamic year. There is a belief that this month brings the ten best days of the year.
On this day people wear new clothes, and exchange sweets and gifts with friends and family members. It is on this day Prophet Ibrahim agreed to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of sacrifice

This is also known as the festival of sacrifice as Prophet Ibrahim had agreed to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of sacrifice. Therefore, this day is known as a festival of sacrifice. Animals like goats, cows, sheep and camels are sacrificed on this day and then the meat is distributed among friends, family and the poor and needy.
This year Eid-ul-Adha will be celebrated on Thursday, 29 June 2023 and Muslims across the world will be migrating to Mecca, in Saudi Arabia as a part of their once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage. We have curated Eid Al-Adha 2023 or Bakra Eid Mubarak SMS messages, WhatsApp, GIF, Facebook quotes, and images to wish your loved ones.
