Dos And Don'ts To Observe Before Travelling Outside
Not all the time, right muhurats can be found for some auspicious occasions. Sometimes, due to some misfortune, or rash driving, some chances of mishap on the road may occur. How to make a journey riskless and safe? Here are some pointers.

Some of the words considered inauspicious while going out of the house are - do not utter words like abusive words, the word no, the word death, etc. No negative words should be uttered while setting out for travel.
Do not travel during rahu kala or yamaganda kala etc. Find out a suitable muhurat for travel. There should not be any fights and do not talk disrespectfully about these three things, fire river or air. They should never be derogatorily talked about as they are pure and sacred.
Utter in one breath, god's name or mantra. Your journey will be successful. Offer roti to dogs and grains to cows before you leave home for travel.
Prepare a kalash and pour a small pile of rice and one and a half rupees and perform dhooparati to it and pray that your journey should be successful. After you come back home, offer all these worshipped items in a shiva temple.
Offer a coconut secretly at a temple nearby and no one should see you putting this coconut into the hundi. Pray to God for a comfortable journey.
Rama Mantra: Agratah prushtatashchaiva paarshvatashcha mahabalou, Aakarna poorna dhanvaanou traayetaam raamalakshmanou.
Due to this mantra, your purpose of travel will meet with success. It is also effective in eliminating chances of accidents or road mishaps.
To cite an example, one person, in a metro city, who does not want to be named, was very prone to accidents. He is now fully out of risk because he recites this whenever he goes out of the house.
