Diwali 2023 City-Wise Timings: The festival of lights, Diwali is all about the significance of light over darkness. It commemorates the return of Lord Rama to his home after a 14-year exile. This day is also known as Deepawali and on this day Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi.
People get up early morning, take a bath, and pay tribute to their ancestors on this day. Then they worship Lord Ganesha and Goddess Lakshmi and decorate them with light, flowers, and rangoli to invite deities.
