Ganesha Mantra: Along with diet and exercise regimen,this mantra should be recited 108 times for 41 days. Chant this mantra in front of a Ganesha Idol. Light a Ghee lamp and offer ghee-based sweets as bhog. It is preferable to chant this during sunrise to get maximum benefit. ॐ गं गणपतये नमः, Om Gan Ganapataye Namaha"

Maruti Stotra by Samarth Ramdas: There is one more very powerful stotra written by Samarth Ramdas which is very popular in Maharashtra. It is an effective remedy for various afflictions including obesity. It is called Maruti Stotra. This is quite long and difficult to recite the whole stotra for 108 times a day.

Hence it has been adviced to chant the first two slokas of the stotra for 108 times. You can practice this 108 a day recitation for 21, 48 days to achieve maximum benefit. Chanting this during grahana times, will achieve mastery of the mantra. Consider this as it gives potent results.
