Lunar Eclipse 2023: Story
There is a belief that Amrit or divine nectar rains from the sky on the day of Sharad Purnima and the glow of the moon is worth seeing on this day. On this day, there is a tradition of making kheer, which is prepared and kept under the open sky at night and consumed the next day.

But due to the shadow of the eclipse, this year you should not keep Kheer outside during the lunar eclipse and Sutak. During this period the moon's rays become polluted and it is said to have a negative on the body. Performing religious activities is also prohibited during the time of Sutak and eclipse. You can either make kheer before the sutak is installed add basil and kush to it and keep it at home. After the eclipse ends, keep the kheer under the open sky for some time. You can make Kheer the next day and offer it to God with full devotion.
