The Chaitra Navratri is significant for the Ram Navami that is observed on the ninth day. The entire span of Chaitra Navratri is also called Ram Navratri for this same reason. Navratri, translates to nine nights and the darkness of ignorance that they represent. The pujas of all nine days are meant to dispel this ignorance with prayers fasting and worship.

Mother Goddess is worshipped in her Nav Durga form on these nine days. Do not limit your Devi Puja and Kanya Puja to the nine chosen young girls and mother goddess and Navratri. Kanya Pujan Rituals

On the ninth day of Navaratri, which is the Navami tithi, the worship of the girl child is conducted. Ninth aspect of Durga which is Siddhidatri is worshipped. It is exactly on this day that nine young girls aged below ten are chosen for worshipping as they are thought to carry the nine aspects or elements of Durga on that day. All the Navratri fasting gives cent percent positive outcome only when the girl children are worshipped.

You must offer namaskar by touching their feet and then offering them the naivedya. Gift them lavishly as much as you can, within your budget so that your wishes get fulfilled due to pleasing them. Female infants are not worshipped. It is actually the girls aged between 2 to 10 that are worshipped during this ceremony called Kanya Pujan. There are some very important Dos to know about while worshipping the girl child. According to the Hindu calendar, this time the festival of Ram Navami will be celebrated on 30 March 2023 on a Thursday.

Rules Of Kanya Pujan

1. There is a meaning behind worshipping young girls in the order of their age.
2. Worshiping a two year removes poverty.
3. Three-year-old girl child, if worshipped will get you happiness, wealth and prosperity.
4. Worship of a four-year-old girl welcomes prosperity.
5. A five-year-old girl cures the devotee of his sickness and ailments.
6. A six-year-old girl would get knowledge, victory in all your intended ventures and Raja Yoga.
7. Worshipping a seven-year-old girl would get you blessing of ashta aishwarya which means the eight types of wealth.
8. Worshiping an eight-year-old will help you win all debates, discussions, and arguments.
9. Whereas, nine-year-old girls are directly a form of Durga. By worshipping them, enemies are vanquished and impossible tasks can be completed with success.
10. Worship of a 10-year-old girl fulfills every wish of the devotee.
