Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ram Mandir in Ayodhya in a chopper and the much-awaited ceremony of Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla has already begun at 12:20 pm and is expected to end by 1 pm.

He is the chief 'yajamana' (the person on whose behalf the priests perform the rituals) at the ceremony, had entered the Temple complex from the eastern gate.

PM Modi has been following a strict 11-day 'anushthan' or special ritual, that includes sleeping on the floor and consuming coconut water. He will also interact with shramjeevis associated with the construction of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir. Later, Modi will also visit the Kuber Tila, where the ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv has been restored.

According to reports, 121 priests, led by Acharya Laxmikant Dixit, are performing the consecration ceremony. Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is sitting on chair, while PM Modi, RSS' chief Mohan Bhagwat, Governor Anandi Ben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath are sitting in front of the idol.
More than 8000 dignitaries from across the country have been invited to witness this historic moment outside the 'garbh griha' or sanctum sanctorum.

Apart from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Gujarat Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Acharya are also be present. The child form idol of Ram Lalla has been installed in the main sanctum. This statue has been made by the country's famous sculptor Arun Yogiraj.

Lord Rama Will See His Face First
According to the method of the ritual, in the Pran Pratistha ritual, a mirror will be brought in front of Ram Lala and his face will be shown to him first. During this period the curtain of the sanctum sanctorum will remain closed. Idol worship will only after the Pran Pratistha ritual.

PM Narendra Modi's Itinerary For 22 January

10:25 am: PM Modi arrives at Ayodhya Aiport
10:55 am: PM reaches Ram Janambhoomi premises by helicopter
11:00 am to 12:00 noon: PM is inside Ram Janambhoomi premises.
12:05 pm to 12:55 pm: - 'Pran pratishtha' ceremony takes place. The eyes of Ram Lalla idol to be opened to put kajal (kohl) on it and then show a mirror to the idol. There will be 'Pushp Varsha' (flower petals will be showered) on the temple by helicopters.
1:00 pm - 2:00 Pm: Speech by PM Modi, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and UP CM Yogi Adityanath for the public.
2:10 pm: PM Modi to worship at Shiv Mandir on Kuber Tila inside Ram Janambhoomi premises. A special ramp has been made for pilgrims to visit Kuber Tila and Lord Shiva temple has been refurbished.
3:30 pm: PM expected to leave Ayodhya.

Since 1990, PM Narendra Modi has been associated with the Ram Temple and he had also played a significant role in managing the Rath Yatra of former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani. He had also participated in the 'Bhumi Poojan' ceremony in Ayodhya in 2020.
