Ayodhya is all set to witness a historic seven-day ritual starting today, 16 January 2024, culminating in the much-anticipated 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The event marks a significant moment in India's cultural and religious tapestry, resonating with millions of devotees across the nation and beyond.

The seven-day ritual will continue till 21 January 2024 and it is on 18 January, the idol will be placed in the sanctum sanctorum and on 22 January, the pran pratishtha ceremony will take place.

10 Key Points Related To Consecration Ceremony Of Ram Lalla

1. As declared by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the upcoming days will unfold in a series of holy rituals following the Dwadash Adhivas protocols. Each day, devotees will witness different ceremonies, meticulously planned to sanctify and prepare the idol for its eternal abode.

2. Rituals as per the Trust will be conducted in the following order- 16th January: Prayaschita and Karmakuti Poojan, 17th January: Parisar Pravesh of the Murti, 18th January (Evening): Teerth Poojan, Jal Yatra, and Gandhadhivas, 19th January (Morning): Aushadhadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas, 19th January (Evening): Dhanyadhivas, 20th January (Morning): Sharkaradhivas, Phaladhivas, 20th January (Evening): Pushpadhivas, 21st January (Morning): Madhyadhivas, 21st January (Evening): Shaiyadhivas

3. On 18 January, the idol of Lord Ram will be placed in its position at the 'Garbh Griha' of the temple.

4. The Pran Pratishtha program on January 22 will take place during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurta of Paush Shukla Dwadashi at 12:20 pm and is expected to conclude by 1 pm, said the General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

5. The auspicious timing for the ceremony was decided by Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid of Varanasi.

6. In a press conference, the Temple Trust mentioned, that the events will be inclusive of traditions and will focus on historic tribal and diverse representation.

7. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Ram Janmabhoomi Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, and all the trustees will be present in the sanctum sanctorum to witness the event.

8. Insights into Arun Yogiraj's work on the statue's crafting were shared, highlighting the sculptor's dedication was also shared by Rai. Further, he mentioned that the statue is to be made of stone, will weigh between 150-200 kg, and will be in the form of a 5-year-old boy, who will be installed in a standing position.

9. From 23 January, the doors of the newly inaugurated temple will open for the general public.

10. Around 7,000 guests from India and abroad are on the invitee list. The dignitaries invited by Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra also include two of India's greatest batsmen - Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli and big names such as actors Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata and others.
