The Two Ideal Principles

An elderly gentleman was busy engaged in planting an almond sappling as a traveller came upon him through the mountains. The traveller aware of the fact that almond trees take a long time to mature said "In your advanced age, should you be planting such a slow growing tree?"

The old man replied, "I like to follow two principles in my life. One is that I will live forever. The other is is that, this is my last day."
