Sans Words Sans Silence

Buddha was once confronted by a philosopher who visited the master to know the truth.

He asked Buddha : " Will you expound the truth sans words or silence?

The enlightened one just sat quietly.

The philosopher then bowed and expressed his gratitude to the Buddha saying : " With your loving kindness I have cleared away my delusions and have entered the true path" ans departed.

Ananda, one of Buddha's disciple asked His master what the philosopher had attained.

The Buddha said "A good horse runs even at the shadow of the whip."
