Meditation, The Right Path

A man who was not accustomed to cows, purchased one newly. He decided to take his newly bought cow home. The cow however would not walk along with him. It wanted to go back to its old master's house which it was accustomed to. The man hence resorted to drag the cow along with him by holding its horns. The cow on its part resisted and would not budge.
A Sufi mystic who was watching the man and the cow from a distance, called forth the man and advised him on how to take the cow home. He asked the man to let go of the man's idea of forcing the animal home. He instructed the man to hold fresh luscious grass in front of the cow's nose and proceed to walk. He however pointed put that there should be a considerable distance between the grass and the cow so as to not to allow it to eat. The cow will automatically follow him home without resistance.
