Bhagavan arunachala, priya devi r,ramana maharshi, upanishads in His attempt to stop a dog from harming a squirrel had fallen down and injured His collarbone. He was bedridden for a month. As He was recovering, T.P. Ramachandra Aiyar and Venkatrama Aiyar, His devotees, sought His permission to climb up the hill of Arunachala to go to Skandashram(a place where Bhagavan was residing when He was up the hill). Bhagavan expressed His wish to accompany them with Rangaswamy, another devotee. But the devotees were reluctant for the fact that it would be too much of a strain for Him as He was just recovering from His injury. Further it was far too hot.

Much to their surprise, half way through the journey they found Bhagavan and Rangaswamy climbing up the hill in the hot sun behind them. At Skandasharam they found a solitary mason engaged in some masonry work. The mason's joy knew no bounds at the sight of Bhagavan . Bhagavan then told him ' It is for your sake that I have come all the way, it is your prayers that has dragged me here.' Bhagavan then explained to the devotees that four days back He had attended a small ceremony on behalf of raising pillars in the new hall of the ashram with the doctor's permission. This mason who was present there wished Bhagavan's presence at Skandashram to have look at his work too. It was just a mental wish. And lo! Bhagavan had climbed all the way up the hill to fulfill the wish of His simple devotee despite His injury and the heat.
