This special type of locket is called Syahu Locket which is made of silver and is worn on the day of Ashtami by braiding it in red thread. it

the

Ashtami,

worn
till
Diwali,

after

it

kept
safely
in
a
safe.
By threading a silver Syahu locket with a red thread or Kalava and adding a silver pearl to it, a Syahu locket is prepared which is offered to the Mother Goddess and worn around the neck.
Let us tell you that during this Nirjala fast, worship is done in the evening and then Arghya is offered under the shade of stars at night. A statue or picture of Mata Ahoi is made in the house.
