Who Is Maleesha Kharwa? 15-Year-Old Slum Princess From Dharavi Bags Two Hollywood Films
Three years back in 2020, amid COVID-19 pandemic, Hollywood actor Robert Hoffman landed in Mumbai to shoot a music video. For his project, he was looking for an authentic slum dweller. That's when he discovered a 13-year-old girl in Dharavi who is now known as 'Princess Of The Slum', has signed a luxury brand and has bagged two Hollywood films.
Not everyone is lucky to live their fairytale, but some do and it can be really thrilling and adventurous for them. Every great dream begins with a dreamer and their strength and passion help them reach the stars. We are talking about Maleesha Kharwa!

Today, 15-year-old Maleesha is a social media influencer and fashion model who aspires to become a supermodel. Initially, she lived with her younger brother, father, and uncle in a slum but now lives in a chawl-like area in Mumbai.
Recently a video of Maleesha Kharwa got immense attention and went viral on social media. The video clip posted on Instagram by Forrest Essentials, a luxury skincare brand shows Maleesha flashing a million-dollar smile while entering the store The 15-year-old model was beaming with joy to notice pictures from her photoshoot there.
The caption read, 'Her face lit up with pure delight, to see her dreams in front of her in sight. Maleesha's story is a beautiful reminder that dreams really do come true."
Further, on her Instagram handle, to promote the same campaign, she wrote, 'There's beauty in every step of the journey and we are celebrating it, one ritual at a time.'

Maleesha
was

stunning
for

role
and

he
saw
potential
in
Maleesha,
he
helped
her
to
live
her
dream
of
becoming
a
fashion
model.
Maleesha
is
now
popularly
known
as
the
'Princess
Of
The
Slum'
and
now
lives
with
her
brother,
father
and
uncle
in
a
chawl-like
area
in
Mumbai.
Hoffman also opened a crowdfunding platform 'GoFundMe' and social media accounts for her. While talking to HT, he said back then that he was leaving India but aims to get her a phone that has nice camera, so that she can be contact and continue high quality vlogging for her fans.
Since then Maleesha has appeared in numerous prestigious magazine covers like The Peacock Magazine (October 2020 issue) where she was styled by ace designer Falguni Shane Peacock. Further, she also shot for the cover page of Cosmopolitan India.
