Love Story: When Life Gives You A Second Chance

Many of us are of the belief that we need to be perfect in order to please our loved ones. Some of us even go to the extent of thinking that unless and until we are perfect, no one will love us.

But that is far from being true. The fact is that when someone loves you genuinely, he or she will love ad accept you with all your flaws and shortcomings.

This is exactly what happened in the case of Anandi. This poor girl always felt that her past would hinder her future and that she could never enjoy a life that was filled with love and had marital bliss in it.

However, the play of destiny is always unique. That is something we, as human beings, have no say over. So, read on to know more about the story of Anandi and how her life ultimately had a 'happily ever after' ending.

The Girl Who Found Her Knight In Shining Armour

Anandi was a bubbly 23-year old. Following her graduation from St. Stephens College, Chennai, her parents had found the perfect match for her in Raghav, an MBA from Symbiosis. In less than a month, her parents married her off in complete festivity. Anandi felt that she had found her prince charming in Raghav.

When Dreams Shatter

However, that was far from being true. In a couple of months, Anandi realized that she was being abused in the relationship. The night when Raghav was home drunk and started hitting her for no apparent fault of hers, that was when she realized enough was enough and that she should call off her marriage.

The very next day she filed for a divorce and in about a month's time, the couple was legally separated.

The Difficult Walk

As easy as the process of seeking divorce was, the process of accepting the same was equally difficult. Anandi fared very bad at that. Seeing her struggle so much was a pain for her kith and kin. It was at this stage that her parents encouraged her to go for therapy sessions.

A Meeting Of Chance

It was during her therapy sessions that she met this new psychologist Dr. Aman Koushik. Fresh out of college, this Patiala-born boy provided her the much-needed solace and in a couple of months, Anandi recovered and went on to lead a normal life.

The Missing Period

As Anandi stopped coming to the therapy sessions, gradually Dr. Aman began to realize that he was actually missing her. That was when he finally made the decision and walked up to Anandi's parents and asked her hand in marriage.

The Initial Shock

After all that Anandi had gone through, her parents did not want to make her go through the pain of marriage all over again. At the same time, they were scared about what would happen to her once they were no more. All of this put them in a dilemma and that made them take months to arrive at a worthy conclusion. Ultimately, they agreed to the proposal.

The Un-acceptance

However, things were not that smooth at the other end. Dr. Aman Koushik was a young and bright chap. His parents had a lot of expectations from their future daughter-in-law and they were not very happy at the prospect of a divorcee being the ‘bahu' of their household.

As Love Prevails

However as they say, when there is true love, nothing can stop a person from achieving his or her true goals. Seeing Aman and Anandi head over heels in love with each other and the love prevailing years, Aman's parents finally consented to the marriage and wholeheartedly accepted and welcomed Anandi.

The Story Goes On

Following this marriage, Anandi was forced to believe that just because her marriage failed once, it does not mean that it will fail again and that it is okay to give life a second chance.

Today, Anandi and Aman are blessed with a cute baby angel and their life is complete. Indeed with the blessings from both sets of parents and their immense faith in each other, this couple showed how to sail through all the turbulences of life with ease and give importance to only one fact - and that is LOVE.
