Love at first sight is a concept that has been used in several literary works. Some of the great writers of literature like William Shakespeare relied heavily on this format of a relationship. Many movies too have been made on the subject of love at first sight. But in real life, do such immature relationships based purely on the first look be sustainable?

Things like compatibility in a couple, their basic knowledge of each other and maturity in the relationship are often compromised in such love at first sight. There are several other things that can go wrong if you fall in love at first sight.

'Love' Or 'Like': Often, when we start an immature relationship with someone, we confuse 'love' with 'liking'. When we first see someone, we can only develop liking for them. Love is a much deeper emotion that needs time and understanding.

Teenage Syndrome: Love at first sight is basically a teenage syndrome. In your teens when your hormones are raging, a mere look at someone can make you fall in 'love'. Such attraction is often short lived and do not translate into serious adult relationships

Compatibility Issues: You cannot look at a person once and decide that you two share a great compatibility. Couples need compatibility to stay together. If your habits or ideas don't match with each other, the glorious idea of love will fly out of the windows.

First Impressions Never Last: Your first impression about person should never be the last impression. How you look at a person depends on the situation you are in. Sometimes, you may not like a person at all when you meet him/her for the first time. But, later you might fall in love with the same person. Similarly, all that shines is not gold. Your first attraction for a person may not last.

Quick Come Quick Go: Love that happens too quickly also vanishes very soon. This is because, such live is not based on any in-depth knowledge or experience.
