Modern Female Dating Anxiety

The technological generation has gifted the humankind with a set of new epidemics like sweaty palms, shallow breathing and obsessive behaviour. The new contribution by the technological communication and casual dating practises is Modern Female Dating Anxiety (MFDA).

Ladies who suffer from modern female dating anxiety are mentally healthy people. However in the MFDA syndrome there are elements of mental illness too. The modern female anxiety syndrome most commonly affects self-assured women who lose their cool on the dating circuit. They have a sense of confidence and security that somehow becomes absent in the dating situation.

There is an illusion of intimacy that develops between the dating couple owing to the evolution of technological conveniences like text messaging, social networking and email. The couple get into exploring connections in a very fast way. That sense of immediate gratification has confused a process that traditionally followed more of a courtship process.

When hanging out and hooking up replace the traditional courtship methods, women aren"t coping well with loosening of formal courtship "codes". The formality of the dating process was kind of tossed out the window and as a result a very casual (method)... arose

The best method to get over the MFDA is to channel their "feminine mystique", or charisma, learn some old-school dating practises and "let go" of their "type".

The new phrase MFDA came up in the book Stop Wondering if You"ll Ever Meet Him written by Ryan Cassady, a life coach, and his wife Jessica, a clinical psychologist and sex therapist.
