A two year study by Edinburgh University focused on the living standards of more than 140 men and women aged between 25 to 44. It was found that more men than women found it difficult to live alone.
Men who live alone often live in unhygienic conditions. They do not clean their room nor wash their clothes. Most men perpetually have a crunch for money and face health problems when left all alone.
Also, the men are more likely to feel lonely and to earn lower salaries than their female counterparts.
