Read A Woman Like A Book

You can read a woman's face like a book, while men are more secretive. According to a study lead by New Scientist, a look at the women's faces can reveal if they are lucky, religious or trustworthy. The men gave no hints about their personalities on the other hand.

The study involved 1000 people sending their photograph along with a questionnaire about their personality and faith. The researchers grouped the photograph as strongly described by the individuals and conflated the photographs into composite faces.

Later as many as 6,500 people logged on the site to judge the likeliness of the feature to a particular personality trait. The results revealed that people could identify is a woman was lucky about 70 percent of the time while 73 percent could tell if the women were religious.

The percentage for trustworthiness was quite low with a 54 percent, but the researchers found that satisfactory. However, the men's faces did not reveal much about them. The reasons could be various, as stated by Richard Wiseman, from the University of Hertfordshire, and Rob Jenkins, from Glasgow University, who carried out the study.

"Perhaps female faces are simply more informative than male ones. It could also be that the men who sent us their portraits were less insightful when rating their personalities or less honest. Or perhaps the women were more thoughtful when selecting the photographs they submitted," the Telegraph quoted them, as saying. AGENCIES
