Survey states that women shop trillions
"Women shop more. As in developed markets women spend about 2.5 per cent than men a year." Heinz Krogner chairman and group CEO, Esprit Global.
A survey states that purchases made by women mounts total trillions of dollars annually, accounting for 85% of all consumer expenditures. Women rule the complex and men just accompany or sulk seeing their empty pockets.
Psychologists say that is a great stress buster for women and for men it is the other way out. The stress felt by men is equal to the stress experienced by a police officer while dealing with an angry mob in a riot. It was believed in the theory that, while women rank the highest in purchasing fancy clothes or beauty products, men hunt like scavengers for gizmo's and gadgets. However this theory is also being proved wrong as women are buying more electronic gadgets than men from past few years. By checking the growing trend, smart marketers are eying more products and strategies to influence women to buy more of their products. For instance you must have seen sales people talking and persuading women more to buy than their husbands beside them.

- To unfold this human behavior lets travel back to early stage of evolution. Man at this period was a hunter who focused only on the target and walked back home straight, after his hunt was over. Men are out in the sun only to buy their new gadget or gifts for any specific occasion like valentine's day or anniversaries. Men are specific of their budget and timings and hate to just see stuffs than buying them. However women have to go and sniff every perfume in the display although she has decided to take just the specific one.
The gender difference in terms of interest have always been varied. However the happy experience list only to those couples where a man wears a smile and accompanies his love in every shop, every shelf and every item in display just to please his wife. Happy !!!
