What worries a single guy?

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh (Genesis 2:24)
A large number of guys prefer to be single in their life. Yes, it is true that the number of single men is considerably large in today's society. Whether it's a flourishing career, the inability to find 'the one' or just the appeal of the single life -- more and more young guys are putting off marriage more than ever before. Crossing the hurdles of the century old belief that 'marriage is the supreme way to perfection in human life', today people find happiness in being alone for a whole life time.
I am sure that some questions would pop up in your mind when you think of single men:
Does the thought of marriage make them break into a cold sweat?
Or are they dying to tie the knot but can't find anyone you are compatible with?
What do they do when loneliness strikes?
On the other hand, maybe they dig the single life and never want to get hitched.
Whatever be the answers for these questions, for the majority of the society, who can only think about a life based on families, the idea of being single is blood freezing and obviously a worse nightmare.
Human beings are born alone. But the society blends them with a number of social institutions like, family, religion, and various social organizations, of course for the wellbeing of each and every individual in the society. But it is a thought provoking factor that many young minds have started a rebellion of thought and lifestyle just by being single for a life time.
To remain single is a great abominable evil owning to various reasons, such as losing or not benefiting from family tie which is often taken as "the closest, the tenderest, and the most sacred of any on earth", perpetual loneliness and absence of reliable and caring lifetime partner at home particularly in times of sickness, distress, old age and death of a family member; irregular affections and friendship, and sexual dissatisfaction; feelings of despair and insecurity in life and in the future; inability to cope alone with the innumerable economic, social and cultural problems; failure or incapacity to contribute to the perpetuation of one's race and social order as well as human happiness; cowardice to assume family responsibilities, etc. Since a family is the basic unit of any society, anyone who is not married and thereby has not created a family, irrespective of all the problems attached to marriage is not making his or her expected share of proper contribution to society.
Because sitting on the couch on your own every night is not everything, singles usually have an active, busy and varied life. However, they are not always those happy dynamic hedonists as if they show us in the magazines, commercials and television series like Sex and the City and Ally McBeal. Research tells us that although singles emancipated from a sad person to an accepted single, singles turn out to be unhappier than the ones that do have a partner. They see a doctor more often, are more involved in traffic accidents and have a higher chance of getting addicted.
What does the so called "singleton" struggle with? The most incurable problem suffered by a single guy is loneliness. Even though the single people defend this argument telling that the company of friends, and dear ones may make them happy, but there are certain society defined limits that a friend or dear one other than wife could not go beyond. When bedridden, when in need of a strong mental support, you will definitely look for a shoulder where you can lay your face for a drop of love and for a word of consolation. A life partner not only gives the physical presence always but also gives the recognition that there is somebody always to share and care. Loneliness is not just physical but it is related to both mental and psychical aspects of life.
Insecurity, about themselves and about the future, deserves the next place among the issues of a single guy. We all don't mind being single for a while, if we know for sure that the prince or princess on the white horse will come along in a year. Insecurity does not mean the physical insecurity, but it is more over a psychic insecurity. If there are no one to depend upon him and if he has no aim in life other than professional one all his the tender feelings are left denounced.
However, I admit that each one has the sovereignty over his life and it is the will and wish of each one to be single or married. There are number of single people leading their lives happily than married people. All states of life, whether it is married life, single life or celibacy, are various options for everyone to choose from. It is the sole discretion of each one to adapt a life style which fits him or he can very well fit into.
