Young Men Look For Multi-tasking partners? - 2

So what's the big deal? Why are more and more young men looking for this particular quality in their partner? Is it because men cannot multi-task?
Marriage - a social institution that binds two people together for life. These two people then live by sharing household responsibilities, traditionally, the man being the breadwinner, and the woman, the homemaker. But, with female liberation, it is being increasingly seen that men do not just want someone to look after their house and children. They are now looking for a partner, not just a glorified housemaid! A wife who is able to juggle housework along with her career seems to be the call of the day.
To find the right mate is considered nothing less than a Herculean task nowadays. An NRI wanted to marry someone who was not a typical housewife. He wanted a woman who had her own aspirations and identity. She should be a good companion and an anchor for the family. This is a tall order, but there are loads of women who enjoy playing different roles together. "At times, I feel like a cross between Ma Kali and Madonna rolled into one! Managing a host of activities ranging from the supervision of my kid's homework to the preparation of meals, housework organised over the cell phone, shopping on the Internet or en route to work, using the cell phone to keep in touch with friends and family," says Rachna Patel. "But I love doing this and it gives me immense satisfaction and is a great high to know I can manage all of this efficiently."
Men are fast waking up to the fact that it is important to have a wife who is able to manage more than just the home. It is vital to have a partner who is well rounded. "I am involved in various other activities besides my work and I would like to have a partner who is as involved in all these 'extra curriculars' as I am", says Pratik Chauhan, a media professional.
