Vitamin Foods To Be Consumed During Pregnancy
During pregnancy, there are a number of Vitamins one must consume for the baby's health as well as for the mother. Vitamins like A, D, C is a must for a pregnant mother to consume during her pregnancy. One of the main reasons why a pregnant woman should have a proper intake of Vitamins is because it is necessary for the growth of the baby and to keep healthy.
Natural fruits, vegetables and different sorts of food contain these type of Vitamins which you should consume daily or weekly as per your gynecologists advice. Boldsky has enlisted five types of Vitamins a pregnant woman should make a habit to consume during pregnancy. However, it is advisable that you also consult your doctor before you consume these Vitamins as too much of Vitamins could be harmful to the child growing inside your womb.
The reason why a pregnant woman should consume Vitamin A is because it helps the bones and teeth to grow and form proportionately. Vitamin C is good for pregnant women because it helps build healthy immune systems. Vitamin D is important during pregnancy as it helps the body use calcium and phosphorus through the foods you consume. Vitamin E helps the body form and use red blood cells and muscles and Vitamin K is good for pregnant women in small portions as it prevents anemia, low birth weight and premature delivery.
Therefore, lets take a look at some of the Vitamin foods which should be consumed during pregnancy.

Milk
It is good to drink a glass of milk early morning with a good breakfast. Avoid the cream in the milk.

Pumpkin
Cooked pumpkin with medium spices will make a good pumpkin curry. This Vitamin A food is good during pregnancy.

Eggs
Eat an egg once a week for you to get good amount of Vitamin A for the foetus.

Carrot
Make yourself a glass of carrot juice or half boiled carrots when you feel hungry.

Liver
Cooked liver with black pepper is a tasty dish you should try out when you are pregnant. This is a good Vitamin A food.

Strawberry
Have a glass of red strawberry milkshake or you can also consume the strawberries raw dipped in fresh cream.

Grapefruit
This tangy fruit is good for the baby growing inside your womb as well as to keep the m mummy healthy and active.

Guava
Cut ripe guava is very high in Vitamin C. Consuming guava once in a day is a good food habit.

Tomatoes
If you add salt and pepper to ripened tomatoes and consume this fruit, you will seem to enjoy its taste. Add lots of tomatoes when you cook, its a good Vitamin C food during pregnancy.

Red Peppers
If you have a liking towards red peppers. Add them to your salad and enjoy!

Egg Yolk
Boiled eggs, or scrambled eggs is the best way to eat the egg yolk. The egg yolk is rich in Vitamin D and is good for the baby too.

Red Meat
Too much of red meat is not good for a pregnant woman to consume. Eat only one portion of red meat once in a week.

Sardines
This tasty fish is a good food rich in Vitamin D. Salted sardines should be consumed in less amounts as it has preservatives.

Mackeral
Fried mackeral goes well with dal and white rice. Consume a healthy piece of fish at least once a week which will serve you good.

Orange Juice
Orange juice with a spoon of sugar can be consumed thrice in a month during pregnancy. Orange juice is rich in Vitamin D.

Nuts
Eat a handful of nuts like almonds and pistachios. They are not only good for the baby but it is also good for the pregnant mummy too.

Olive Oil
Switch from normal oil to olive oil. Add only a dash of olive oil to your cooking and you will see how different it feels, health wise.

Vegetable Oil
Vegetable oil is also good for pregnant women. However, consume only in small amounts.

Spinach
Dried spinach of boiled spinach in a small cup can be consumed once in a month. This will provide a good amount of Vitamin K necessary during pregnancy.

Beans
It is good to eat only one serving of dried beans when you are pregnant. Do not over consume.

Oats
Oatmeal can be added to your breakfast pregnancy diet. This food is rich in Viatmin K essential during pregnancy.

Dried Fruits
Figs, cashews, raisins, plums are good for pregnant women to consume during her pregnancy.

Beef
If you have pregnancy cravings to eat beef, make sure that it is boiled well before consumption.
