Does Childhood Obesity Cause Depression?
A new study claims that childhood obesity could also cause depression. Generally, obese kids tend to keep to themselves and may gradually turn introverts. And this is how depression could start.

As their peers could make fun of them, it is not easy for them to cope up with the teasing that happens in schools. Over time, all these factors start causing depression and worry in the kid.

In some kids, obesity could occur even at the age of 5-6 years and from there, all troubles could start. And some of them may also take to emotional eating disorder and this could make things worse as it adds to the obesity.

And as their peers tend to tease them, these kids would avoid playing games with them and this will deprive the advantage of physical activity.

Loneliness, aggression or depression are commonly seen in kids who suffer obesity at a young age. And the worst part is, some kids turn into school dropouts as they start hating school if they are surrounded by teasing kids.

Parents may need to take certain measures to prevent such situations by helping the kid focus on healthy eating habits and physical activities.
