Tips To Deal With Slow Learners
While many parents want their kids to perform well in school, so they eventually pressurize them to achieve big. But when their kids fail to perform well in academic or other activities, they are punished. However, it is a responsibility of parents to understand the underlying problem that the child is facing. Children have different rates of learning, it is wrong to put all of them on one platform as they have different rates of learning both academics and other activities.
Many children who fail to grasp the poems they are taught or cannot comprehend the math sums like other kids are often called as slow learners.

It is important to note that, slow learners cannot be categorized as special people, but they just have the problem of learning. Though they aspire to learn new things but have to face difficulty in learning and memorising new concepts quickly. Interestingly, these children are excellent in most of the other activities except for reading, writing or mathematics. Hence, it is the role of both parents and teachers to help the children to cope with the problem.
Few tips to the parents to help slow learning kids:
Healthy food and adequate sleep: Having healthy breakfast and adequate sleep are essential for better learning. Promoting a healthy environment for slow learners may help them in improving in their academics. A calm and cool place with healthy food and proper sleep will definitely help kids in a long run.
Help in home work sessions: Helping kids in their homework and allowing them to review their homework, this will not only help them memorise what they have studied but also helps them perform well in their exams. Also allow them to have small breaks in between their homework session.
Involve in fun activities: Leave your kids to involve themselves in fun activities between their studies or homework. Make sure that you leave them with the activity that interests them be it sketching or playing video games. This kind of activity makes them feel refreshed and they will soon get back to their academic activities.
Revision: Before bed, make sure you give a proper revision to your kids by asking questions or making it fun through quiz or competition. If in case the kid fails to answer, explain the concept slowly and in a little loud tone so that they may comprehend.
These few tips might be of help for those whose kids are slow learners, inculcating these tips will surely make them cope with the problem in no time.
