Parents Idolised More Than Celebs

Mothers top the chart when it comes to role models
According to a new survey, when it comes to choosing a career, the youth of today idolise their parents and not celebrities. Ironically to the general belief that the youngsters only dream of becoming big screen start, the survey indicates that the present generation teenagers look up to their parents for career guidance and advice.

Almost 50 percent of children between the age group of 16 to 24 years proudly say that their parents set the best examples. Mothers come top in the rating, followed by dads in the second and Apprentice head Alan Sugar in the third position, With 24 per cent voting for Barack Obama, the US President stands fourth, just 2 per cent ahead of grandparents.

Celebrities such as Cheryl Cole, Alan Sugar,Barack Obama, Simon cowell lag far behind as only 14 per cent of the 1,000 polled youths seem to like them.
