Here Is Why Older Women Have Birth Complications During Pregnancy
Read this if you are a woman above the age of 35, who wants to become a mother!
If you are a woman who is above the age of 35 and planning to conceive, then this article may help you gain some knowledge about why older women who want to get pregnant are more prone to certain birth-related complications.
Most of us would have already heard of the fact that says women should get pregnant before the age of 35, otherwise it could prove to be dangerous; however, we do not exactly know why, right?
Well, many women, especially today, tend to settle down a little later in life, compared to the women belonging to the older generations.
Career, travels, pursuing their passions, taking some time to find the right life-partner, etc., can all delay the process of a woman trying to conceive.
So, many women fear that they may be putting themselves and their babies at a risk, if they get pregnant after the age of 35 and hurry up with the process, even if they are not completely ready!
So, here are some facts about why older women tend to have birth complications.

Fact #1
A recent survey has estimated that the number of women trying to get pregnant after the age of 35 has increased by over 60%, since 2012.

Fact #2
A number of studies have been conducted on this subject and it has been proved by researchers that birth complications are more common among women who are over 35 years of age.

Fact #3
Researchers dwelled deeper into this subject and conducted experiments to analyze why there were birth complications in pregnant women above the age of 35.

Fact #4
It was found that the level of oxytocin hormones produced in the body is depleted in most women, after the age of 35.

Fact #5
Oxytocin is a hormone, which has many functions and one of them is to facilitate the contractions during labour, making the process of childbirth much easier.

Fact #6
Also, in women above the age of 35, the hormone progesterone is also produced in lower quantities.

Fact #7
Progesterone is a hormone that assists in the implantation of the embryo during pregnancy and also strengthens the pelvic walls during labour.

Fact #8
So, in conclusion, the depleted production of these two hormones in women above the age of 35 can lead to birth complications.
