Why Breastfeeding Is Healthy?
World Breastfeeding Week starts on august 1 and ends on august 7. It is celebrated every year in 120 countries.

The goal of this event is to promote breastfeeding and spread awareness about its health benefits. During the first six months after birth, a baby needs vital nutrients for growth. Those nutrients also offer protection from certain diseases.

Breast milk contains all those necessary nutrients. Also, breast milk contains proteins which can be easily digested and absorbed by the baby's body.

Also, breast milk contains certain antibodies which can protect the baby from certain infections. In fact, there are also certain other health benefits in the long run and researchers are still carrying out their studies in this area.

Some studies even claim that breast feeding can protect the mother from breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Also, it could make the baby more intelligent. It could also minimise the risk of obesity and type- diabetes according to some studies.
