How Endometriosis Causes Infertility
Endometriosis is one of the main causes of female infertility. Learn how endometriosis causes infertility and ways in which you can detect whether you have been suffering from endometriosis.
Endometriosis is one of the highest recorded causes of female infertility. There is a relationship between endometriosis and infertility as the existence of masses of tissues and scarring in the pelvis and womb region brought on by endometriosis is among the many reasons for infertility.

Endometriosis is defined as the condition wherein the endometrium tissue grows and lines not only the uterus linings, but also organs like intestines, pelvis, vaginal walls, fallopian tubes, etc. These deposits cause menstruation to flow back onto the fallopian tubes and cause scarring on the way.
These abrasions play a part in infertility. The endometrial tissues outside the womb expand and thicken and are shed from the start of the menstrual period. When the blood pools in the abdomen cavity, it forms scar tissues that may block the fallopian tubes.

As research has it, the blocks in the fallopian tubes and vaginal channel may prevent the conclusion of the ovulation cycle and reduce the likelihood of carrying an embryo upon fertilization. The existence of endometriosis causes hormonal imbalance that directly disrupts ovulation and menstruation cycles.
Spotting the signs of the condition can be difficult, as endometriosis does not follow a specific pattern. Painful menstrual period, painful sexual intercourse, chronic pelvis pain, lower back pains, irregular menstruation cycles, with heavy or excessive bleeding and painful bowel evacuations and urination are the signs of endometriosis.

Pelvic pain is the most typical and the simplest symptom to place, as it might be experienced continuously or intermittently during the menstrual period. As endometriosis is most typical to occur in people with irritable bowel syndrome or IBS, pelvis pain might occur after taking meals.

The pelvis pain that is experienced during ovulation is rather acute, and is occasionally dismissed as a little twinge. Experienced throughout the early hours before the ovulation process, the pain might last for several days and well into the menstrual cycle. The pain is due to the stretching of the ovaries during ovulation because of the endometrial tissues.
