Frightening Things About Miscarriage You Didn't Know
In life, one of the things that every woman fears is pregnancy; and when that happens, the next biggest fear is a miscarriage.
According to health experts, miscarriages have become extremely common these days, and it is the duty of every woman to be aware of what could happen at the time of a miscarriage.
These days, due to the lifestyle changes and hereditary issues, women have to face constant pregnancy problems. If a woman leads a life following the right kind of diet and has a positive mind-set, there could be a chance for her to have a healthy pregnancy.
However, there are many myths behind miscarriages too, which are rather frightening. Most women blindly believe in those myths and believe them to be true.
If you are pregnant with your first child, here are some of the things that you should be aware of when it comes to a miscarriage.
Take a look at these facts of what a miscarriage is really about. And, if anything seems a little strange during your journey through pregnancy, never hesitate to seek your doctor's help:

It Doesn't Stop At Just One:
According to recent statistics, it is said that a woman can have up to 2 to 3 miscarriages that is called recurrent miscarriage.

It Happens In Early Pregnancy:
The definition of miscarriage is a pregnancy lost before 20 weeks, but almost all miscarriages occur before the 12-week mark. On the other hand, a pregnancy lost after 20 weeks is usually referred to as a stillbirth.

You Will Have No Idea:
Did you know that women can have a clueless miscarriage? Experts state that women can miscarry within the first 10 days of conception and not even recognise that they have had a pregnancy loss. Hence, in the early stages of pregnancy, it is important for the mother to look after herself with uttermost care.

It's Not Always The Woman's Fault:
There is no way to prevent a miscarriage; and the mother is not at fault, if she happens to lose the child. Miscarriages happen because of genetic abnormalities in the embryo, and this can't be prevented.

Keep Guard 'Older' Women:
Women who have passed the age of 30 and above should be careful when trying to conceive. The only reason being as a woman ages, the eggs age too, which gives more chance for the genetic abnormalities to increase.

Are You Overweight?:
If you are overweight, it is time to lose some pounds! Being overweight affects a lot of women at the time of their pregnancy. For the simple reason, obesity comes with a lot of other health-related issues that stand no support for a woman to bear a child. On the other hand, being underweight too can be a problem.

The Bad Habit!:
Quit the bad habits right away, if you want to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy. Bad habits like smoking, binging on junk food and alcohol play a vital role in causing a miscarriage.

Is Sex The Problem?:
It is often said, rather is a grandma's tale that "intercourse during pregnancy is the main cause of a miscarriage". This is not true however; and, in fact, intercourse during pregnancy has its handful of advantages too.
