Foods That Bring Strength To Baby's Feet
When your little one was born, you might have been mesmerized by the tiny feet and the little toes. The pink little legs of your baby are really adorable and cute.
Feet play an important role in the lifetime of a human being. From the time that a baby is born, the mother starts nurturing the baby to prepare the feet for all the journeys that the baby will face in his/her lifetime.

The baby slowly stretches and exercises his feet, while lying on the back. When the baby rolls over, the strength of his feet helps him in performing the future acts.
There are many things that contribute to the development of healthy feet. Exercises, massages and the use of appropriate footwear are some of the healthy practices that encourage the development of feet.
Food and nutrition also play a very important role in the growth of the feet. Proper nutrition that promotes healthy bones and muscles are of utmost importance in this case.

Dairy Products
Milk and other dairy products like cheese, butter, yogurt, etc., are an essential part of the baby's daily diet. The calcium-rich dairy products give the baby strong bones. These products also contain a good amount of protein, which helps in the growth of muscles. The other vitamins found in it are also essential for healthy feet.

Vegetables
Vegetables are to be added to the baby's diet to ensure healthy feet. Choose vegetables that are rich in calcium and fibre. Some good examples of calcium-rich vegetables are broccoli, spinach, sweet potatoes and beans. If the baby refuses to eat the vegetables, you can add pureed vegetables into soups and can also kneed it into breads like poori and chappati.

Fortified Soy Milk
Fortified soy milk is milk that is extracted from soy beans. This milk is then enriched with added calcium and vitamin D. The milk is a rich source of protein that contributes to the health of the muscles. Soy milk is also an excellent substitute if your baby is lactose intolerant and cannot consume cow's milk.

Lentils
Lentils and pulses like dal, soy beans, peas, chick peas, and kidney beans are all very rich in calcium. It is a great addition to the diet of your baby. As an addition, they are also an excellent source of protein. If you are a vegetarian, it is essential to add these to your baby's diet.

Oranges
Oranges are rich in calcium. Calcium fortified orange juice is also available in the market and can be offered to babies who are lactose intolerant and refuse to have soy milk. It is also rich in vitamin C. This vitamin is considered to be essential for the absorption of calcium into the body.

Cereals
Cereals are a food group that is a staple food in most homes in our country. Ragi is an example of a calcium-rich cereal that is fed to babies as young as 4 months of age. Brown rice is another healthy source of calcium and fibre that are essential for strong feet.

Nuts
Nuts and dry fruits are rich in healthy fats and calcium, both of which are essential for healthy feet. Nuts can pose a choking hazard. Therefore, they can be fed to the babies as powders or can be added into milk, soups and porridges.

Tofu
Tofu is a paneer-like substance and is often consumed as a substitute to paneer and non-vegetarian food items. Tofu is extracted from soy beans, which are rich in calcium. It is also prepared in a salt that has calcium as a main component like calcium sulphate. The richness of calcium content in tofu makes it an excellent food that contributes to healthy feet of the baby.

Sesame Seeds
Sesame seeds are a superfood that contain a large amount of calcium and iron. They can be offered to your 1 to 1.5 year olds in the form of ladoos or other sweet preparations for healthy feet.

Fish
Certain kinds of fish contain a lot of calcium, protein and healthy fatty acids. If you consume non-vegetarian food items, make sure to include fish like salmon, mackerel and anchovies in your baby's diet to make sure that his feet are strong and healthy.

Eggs
Eggs are a superfood that must be added to your baby's diet. It contains essential proteins and an immense amount of calcium that will contribute to the healthy growth of your baby's feet.
