How Pregnancy Diet Affects Baby’s Ageing
A new study reveals that ageing may begin much before all of us come into this world. Yes, a study conducted on rats reveals that we all start to age even during the foetus stage.

When mothers are offered with foods rich in anti-oxidants throughout the phase of pregnancy, it helps the baby age slowly throughout his or her life, say researchers. This study claims that babies who receive less oxygen when in womb may age faster after they are born.

We all know that anti-oxidants slow down the ageing process. But most of us are not yet aware of the fact that even pregnancy diet needs to contain anti-oxidants to decide the ageing process of the baby in the womb.

Today, all of us are exposed to toxic environments in various stages of our lives and this is why anti-oxidants are important for us to combat the toxins better.

When researchers conducted the study on rats they found out that lower levels of oxygen may also decide the pace of ageing process during pregnancy.

When pregnant women are given foods rich in anti-oxidants, the risk of ageing faster may be significantly reduced in the baby's overall life cycle, say researchers.

So, we have one more reason to consume foods rich in anti-oxidants even during pregnancy. But of course, consult your gynecologist to get a list of foods rich in antioxidants during pregnancy.
