10 Effective Ways To Handle Baby Temper Tantrums
A child is a blessing of our life; we want to spend most of our time with them, give them the best, love them and pamper them. But sometimes, we pamper them so much that they start throwing tantrums. Baby temper tantrums are difficult to deal with and many parents face this problem at some point of time.
A baby throwing tantrum is difficult to handle. He does so when he notice that he is getting a lot of attention and that he can get his way through. When they don’t get what they want, they show their frustration by screaming.
There are some emotions that has to be suppressed and not vented while dealing with baby throwing tantrum. There are few effective ways by which you can handle your baby temper tantrums.
With immense patience and love, you can help stop your little one from having this nasty habit. Here are some tips that may work for your little one.

You Calm Down
Your baby learns from you. To deal with baby temper tantrums, you have to be calm. The worst thing you can do is to be angry. When you are calm and composed, they will also do the same.

Reasons differ
The reason for baby throwing tantrums may be different at various times. It can be due to physical pain, frustration, need for your attention, hunger or sleep.

Choice of coping strategies
Give your child an option when he asks for something. Children are different and you have to find the best idea that will work for your child. Request him to calm down and if he does, compliment him.

Manage frustration
Dealing with a baby temper tantrum can raise blood pressure and stress levels in parents. Be silent and stay near the baby for a few moments. This will help you and the child to calm down.

Find the cause
Try and find out why your baby throws tantrums. Your response to the tantrum should be based on this. If he is hungry or needs a nap, attend to his needs. If he feels ignored, spend some time with him.

Don’t encourage a tantrum
If they see that they are able to get their way, it will be like a launching point. This way you are just encouraging him to throw more tantrums. In no way, give in to the tantrum.

Prevent injury
Some baby temper tantrums can be very dramatic. In this case, remove all dangerous objects from their paths. Speak reassuringly to the child if the tantrum is due to disappointment or frustration.

Talk to him when he his calm
You need to talk to them when he is calm. They will understand that this behaviour is unacceptable and that you still love him.

Don’t try to reason
Don't try to reason in the middle of baby temper tantrums, this will only frustrate them. Give the child phrases to express their emotions, this will help with empathising with their feelings.

Don’t smack
This is not an option for dealing with baby throwing tantrums. By hitting, you are sending the wrong message, that hitting is an acceptable behaviour when you are out of control.
