You have been told that the only advantage of using cloth diapers is that they are organic; the rest all are disadvantages. Don't fall prey to these sort of diaper myths. Here are some myths about cloth diapers that needs to be busted.

Myth #1: They are ancient

They are traditional but definitely not ancient. You will not be using cloth diapers in the same way as your grandmother or mother used to. You get very sophisticated cloth diapers these days that are made keeping the modern mother and child care techniques in mind.

Myth #2: They are disgusting

Why would you say that cloth diapers are more disgusting than plastic one? Is it just because you have to dispose the baby poop? Well, even while using plastic diapers, you are supposed to flush out the solid waste and then dispose the diaper.

Myth #3: Plastic diapers are more comfortable

Well cloth diapers are natural and plastic diapers are definitely not. Even the most eco friendly diaper brands have chemicals in them that are constantly in contact with your baby's tender skin. So how can your baby possible be more comfortable in a plastic diaper?

Myth #4: Difficulty sleeping in cloth diaper

Actually you do not need to diaper your baby while sleeping. Instead, let the baby sleep on an oil cloth or soaking sheet that will soak up the moisture if your baby pees at night.

Myth #5: Cloth diaper costs more

In a manner of speaking, yes, they do cost more. But cloth diapers are reusable and the plastic ones have a recurring cost.

Myth #6: Its just too much work

You don't get to be a mom without doing any work. At the end of the day, you are going to wash the baby nappies in a washing machine just like your clothes. So where is the toil?
