World Hello Day 2023: Be it answering your phone while going for a stroll, or starting a beautiful friendship or relationship; most of the time it simply begins by saying 'Hello'. A simple word that breaks the ice and makes it easy to start a simple and casual conversation, which can go a long way.
We all know how primal communication is in the world we live in to forge all kinds of relationships. Simply greeting people with a hello signals the other person that you are friendly.

Significance
According
to
the
Oxford
English
Dictionary,
the
first
published
use
of
"hello" goes
back
only
to
1827.
However,
it
was
not
a
greeting
back
then,
but
the
term
was
used
to
attract
attention
or
express
surprise.
However,
when
the
telephone
arrived,
then
'Hello'
became
'Hi'.
In the 1970s, the conflict between Egypt and Israel became extremely severe, and due to this thousands of civilians and soldiers lost their lives. Some were even brutally tortured and executed. This was known as the Yom Kippur War. As a response to this Arizona State University graduate Brian McCormack and Harvard graduate Michael McCormack in 1973, introduced the concept of World Hello Day and used it as an instrument to preserve peace and sanity across the globe. Since, then, World Hello Day has been celebrated all over the world.
