Who Is Sara Arjun? Once India's Richest Child Actor, She Is Now Ranveer Singh's Love Interest In Dhurandhar
The teaser for Aditya Dhar's spy thriller Dhurandhar dropped on Ranveer Singh's 40th birthday, and while the actor's gritty new avatar grabbed headlines, one moment left fans talking: the blink-and-miss appearance of the female lead. That girl? None other than Sara Arjun, a face many viewers instantly recognised-yet couldn't quite place.

Once hailed as India's richest child actor, Sara has grown up away from the constant limelight. Now, at 20 years old, she's making her full-fledged Bollywood debut opposite Ranveer Singh in a role that might just launch the next big star.
Who Is Sara Arjun?
Born in 2005, Sara Arjun is the daughter of actor Raj Arjun. She was barely a toddler when she was spotted at a mall by an ad filmmaker. By the age of one-and-a-half, she was already starring in television commercials. What started as an accidental casting turned into one of the most successful child acting careers in India.

Her breakout moment came in 2011, with the Tamil film Deiva Thirumagal, where she played Vikram's daughter. Her emotional performance stole hearts across languages, and soon, Sara was cast in Bollywood and South Indian cinema alike.
A Career That Peaked Before 18
Sara's career didn't slow down after her debut. She appeared in critically acclaimed films like Ek Thi Daayan, Saivam, and Saand Ki Aankh, and continued to be a go-to choice for emotionally heavy child roles.
But her most high-profile appearance came in 2022, in Mani Ratnam's two-part historical epic, Ponniyin Selvan (PS-1 and PS-2). She played the younger version of Aishwarya Rai's character, Nandini, in flashback sequences. The films were massive commercial successes, collectively grossing over ₹800 crore worldwide, and solidified Sara's presence in mainstream cinema.
According to reports from Siasat and Gulte, Sara's earnings post-Ponniyin Selvan were so impressive that she was estimated to have a net worth of ₹10 crore in 2022, making her the richest child actor in India at the time. That record remained until Riva Arora surpassed her in recent years.
Now, All Eyes Are On Dhurandhar
Fast-forward to 2025, and Sara Arjun is entering a new chapter. Dhurandhar isn't just another film-it's a high-octane espionage thriller, with a star-studded cast including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, and R Madhavan. But it's Sara's casting opposite Ranveer Singh that has taken fans by surprise.

This marks her first lead role in a mainstream Bollywood film, and it's no small deal. While many child actors fade from the public eye as they grow up, Sara's return has been both low-key and impactful. And from the few frames revealed so far, she's clearly not just in the film-she's a central part of it.
A New Phase For A Familiar Face
What makes Sara's rise so compelling is how it blends nostalgia with novelty. For those who remember her childhood performances, it's heartwarming to see her evolve. For Gen Z discovering her now, she's a new face with old soul credibility.
If her performance in Dhurandhar lives up to the buzz, Sara could very well be the next breakout name in the Hindi film industry-a young actress with range, experience, and the rare ability to stay grounded in front of the camera.
From Tiny Star to Big-Screen Presence
Sara Arjun's journey from toddler commercials to major Bollywood releases reminds us that talent never truly disappears-it just matures. Her move from child prodigy to adult lead has been quiet but poised, and Dhurandhar could be the moment that reintroduces her to a brand new audience.
So, the next time you see that fleeting smile in the trailer or that haunting gaze across from Ranveer Singh, remember-you've seen her before. And you're about to see a lot more of her.
