Indian Spring/Summer Collection 2011 Is Here!

Best Works At Spring/Summer Collection 2011:
1. Malini Ramani: Renowned Indian Fashion designer maintained a perfect balance of color and contrast in this 2011 fashion show. Her collection unfolded in 4 parts. The first part was a dual visual contrast of black and white in tribal patterns. Then came the shock of an Indian interpretation of the 70s disco era with mirrored loud embroidery. The transition to the 'Blue mood' can be called smooth because it included the oomph of lace and silver accessories. The final death thrust came with the burst of bubblegum colors like raspberry pink and fresh lime green harem pants. The loud and explicit colors in in the end were an unexpected shock that will surely gain this collection some brownie points for visual impact.
2. Urvashi Kaur: This Indian designer introduced a Grecian touch of cream and white to the Spring/Summer collections 2011. All the dresses were white or cream with a certain portion of shading in the extremities, mostly the hems of the dresses. There were a few not so good swimsuits but otherwise the collection was dominated by toga like maxi dresses falling loosely on the models. Accessories and hair dos were both minimalistic and chic. 'Soothing' would be the best way to describe this fashion statement but it did not lack the dazzling effect due to the eye catching shades of coral and yellow used for shading.
3. Anita Dongre: This popular designer has played it safe for Will's Lifestyle Fashion week this year. Her clothes are decidedly simple and ordinary to the trained eye. They are basically a Hippie style inspired clothes but excluding the cliched head gear, large beads and baggy kaftans. It is contemporary in its own way with a slight tilt towards the 1970s. The dresses have bright block prints that spawn over like bacteria. Although the clothes may seem ordinary from the fashion point of view the collection is destined to do well because of its usability factor.
All the designers who participated in the Wills India Fashion week came up with highly priced collection which justifies the use of the hottest and best paid models here. On the whole the Spring/Summer collection 2011 was a melange of color and shadows and the Indian designers shone though with all the glamour there was to spare.
