Solar Eclipse 2024: Date, Time, How Long Will Surya Grahan Last?
The first solar eclipse of 2024 will be seen on 8 April 2024. According to NASA, the Pacific coast of Mexico will experience totality first, around 11:07 am PDT, and the occurrence will leave Maine at around 1:30 pm PDT. As per the Indian Standard Time (IST), the total solar eclipse will begin at 9:12 pm on 8 April 2024 and will end on April 9, 2024, at 2:22 am.

According to NASA, this total solar eclipse will be visible only in parts of the United States, Mexico, and Canada. But, the moon will cover some parts of the Sun in a partial eclipse in parts of certain Caribbean countries, Colombia, Venezuela, Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, and Iceland. However, the solar eclipse will not be visible in India.

NASA will live-stream the eclipse on YouTube and will provide multiple broadcasts of the total eclipse. From 1 pm. to 4 pm Eastern time on 08 April, it will provide live-streamed commentary and views of the phenomenon from across the path of totality.

The eclipse is expected to plunge parts of the globe into darkness for approximately 7.5 minutes, creating a night-like scene during the day in the areas where it will be visible.
