Here are some of the facts that you need to know on Indian rupees. Only a few of them may know about these facts; and for those of you who don't, check them out, here!
Our day-to-day life does include money. But, do we know the origin of this Indian rupee that we Indians use on a daily basis? There are a few facts that you need to know about the Indian rupee.
Reserve Bank Of India (RBI) plays an important role in the monetary business, as it helps to regulate the entire banking system of the nation, and it ensures a monetary stability for the people. Listed here are some of the things that one needs to know about the Indian rupee.

Fact #1
Did you know that 5000 and 10,000 rupee notes were circulated between 1954 and 1978? Well, they did, and this image is a proof of it.

Fact #2
Pakistan did not get its currency immediately after its Independence. Hence, the people there used the Indian currency notes stamped as "Government of Pakistan" on them, until they started printing their own currency.

The Ministry of Finance issued the "One rupee note", and it included the signature of the secretary.

Rupee was not only the currency of India, but was being used by other countries like Aden, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Kenya, Uganda and even Mauritius, until the early 20th century.
